Mom is going into hospice. She is refusing food and water. At this rate, they believe it will be only a week or two and she will be gone. She is continuing to scream and rant at nothing - she is being tortured by demons only her Alzheimer's brain can see. She needs to be at peace - that is what I pray for.

Bailey, my sister said Dad's sudden stroke and death were his last gift to us - it was much better than years of suffering. So maybe when you look back on this period, you might think of it as your mother's gift to herself and to you as well. That doesn't make it easy right now, I know.
Take care of yourself, Bailey.
I'm so sorry, Bailey. You have done everything that you can for her.
